UK MODELS REPRESENT – VIRGIL’S FIRST LV SHOW

This week, Virgil Abloh made his debut as the first black artistic director at Louis Vuitton. The anticipation was real and Abloh did not disappoint.

The vibe of the whole show was refreshing as Louis Vuitton was shown in a new light. From the iridescent duffle bag to the retro shades, it was a step forward in fashion and a show to remember.

The collection paid close attention to diversity, inclusion and transparency, and this was apparent in the model casting.

“Essential to my show concept is a global view on diversity linked to the travel dna of the brand. We created this world diagram on the seats that shows the models birthplace, and the birthplace of their parents.”

Famous faces appeared on the runway such as Kid Cudi, A$AP Nast and Playboi Carti. Doing it for the UK, Octavian, Lucien Clarke and Dev Hynes made their mark on the runway. What a show!
