We Talk Sneakers with: Terence Sambo
CREP CONNOISSEUR TERENCE SAMBO
We look back to 2017 when we had a talk with Terence Sambo. He filled us in on his love for trainers and the 'must haves' in your footwear collection!
I do have a love for trainers, most probably for comfort and aesthetic reasons. Sneakers play a large role in defining my style. I’d describe my own style as ‘Sporty’ but most the time, I’m building my outfit around the pair of sneakers I plan to wear that day!
Staple trainers: Nothing better than a pair of all black Nike TN’s.These are my ‘Go-To’s’
Top 3 trainers in 2017?:
1. Yeezy Runner: it’s bang on trend but still super wearable compared to all the other chunky soled trainers out there.
2. Virgil Abloh x Nike Air Max 90: Virgil is the modern day king of deconstruction. He’s taken a classic design and turned it on the inside out whilst infusing his own design aesthetic.
3. I’m a big TN fan and the Air Max Plus mettalic gold has to be one of the nicest TN’s to drop this year.
How do you keep on top of the latest launches?
I actually never do, I just buy on resell. Or sometimes we get information on certain drops at PAUSE mag and I set calendar reminders.
Are there any trainers that you don't own that you wish you had?
Obviously the Yeezy Runner and the Virgil Abloh x Nike airman 90’s. I could do with another pair of Nike air max 360.
You can never have too many trainers.
