Soundcloud Gems Unveiled
Although we all love our Apple Music's, Spotify's and the rest, lets not ignore the amount of musical talent that sits on Soundcloud. We have listed some artists who we have unveiled from the depths of the Soundcloud library that we think you should check out.
West London's very own..Fonzie. If you haven't heard about him you will today! With his wavy collection of music catalog, laid back demeanour and smooth crazy flow, we am very sure he is one of the most underrated on the list who deserves his dues. From 2012 to now, he was in TDNB a trio collective with Handles & Magic, who also opened up for Ace Hood in the O2. Their hit "Poetry In Motion" played on 1xtra and Fonzie featured on the hook of 2016's summer hit, "Round Here" with over 2.4million views. His vast portfolio alone shows Fonzie means business so you should watch out for him throughout 2018 and be sure to check out his music and visuals. Defiantly a game changer from early.
LSK is a triple threat of an artist. The West Londoner is a true Grime MC, producer. He knows the beauty of his craft and reflects the current UK urban culture through his sound. If you like the sound of music artist Kaytranada, LSK's vibe might just be for you! We're excited to see more of his work this year and that's why he is one of our unveiled Soundcloud Gems.
Shauna Shadae has been doing real big things and is on the way for more bigger success this year. With her afro-sound instrumental combined with R&B vibe, her songs will leave you feeling like your up in the tropics. Her smooth sound has caught the attention fo the likes of SNE and Ms Banks who features on her song 'Mi Like Remix' at a Craig David '7 Days' sample near the end. We are excited to see what this year has in store for her and await the release of her new track 'Last Time' produced by Xvr Blck. Check out her visuals on GRM Daily and make sure to keep her at the front of your mind this year.
The British Kanye West with the 50 Cent mentality to go and get it and about the moves especially the profit and his music shares his expression in who Handles is and that is a precise creator even if he is controversial with it with his topics, the love of weed rapper persona wouldn't surprise us that he would have features with Wiz Khalifa to Black The Ripper in the near future, believe us as we say he is up there as a one to watch and he shows it when on his own and when featuring on his guys tracks such as Fonzie and Magic, his visuals also speaks so be sure to listen to all tapes and watch all visuals.
Alika a pure musician. Include sound engineer, to artist/songwriter, to producer. She is the whole package of someone who knows the in's and out's of the music game and her grind and artistry shows within her sound and accolades. Her Unsung MOBO award, to having 4million plays on Spotify on her latest song 'Wavey', these alone don't even scratch the surface for why she is someone for sure to watch out for. Melodies and bars, Alika is an artist you need to vibe to this year.
An R&B name that should be on the radar, July's voice and sound is unique especially for the British music scene. You can hear the influences in his sound from some of the R&B Icons and his vocal range will have you on the edge of your seat. We recommend his latest song 'Mood.' Listen to it and vibe out, more to come from July.
April a serious vocalist and her two latest tracks shows that her smooth sounds and strong vocals will be the one to watch out for. Her sound is a true old school feeling, so soulful and 90's R&B inspired it is one that we need in the year of 2018. Her Floetry type of goodness..she is for sure up there and should be, so we gotta have a eye out for her on the rise.
One of the underrated lyricists around, you may have seen his freestyles featuring on platforms like Link Up TV, Magic is a true spitter when it comes to the booth. His flow fast flow and metaphorical messages will for sure leave you like 'whoa'. So we're here for it and we're ready and you need to be too.
Anita Nicole's sound would be a refreshing addition to the current UK sound as it is one that can often get overlooked. Her vibe is similar to the American artist Jhene Aiko, so if you like her sound, the Anita is perfect for you. Her smooth melody and comforting voice will have you lost in her music. Our favourite is her song 'Gone' that combines a Funky House sound with the smoothness of Soul - we love!
